Recover from last week’s declines
The US major stock indices are starting the day/week with some modest gains. The positive start erases some of the declines from last week’s trading. The $200B of China tariffs have not been officially announced yet. Trump threatened to enact an additional $267B if China retaliates. Apple said on Friday that the list of tariffs would impact Apple products. That has the US’s largest corporation down -1.4% in early trading at $218.19.
- The S&P is up 12.3 points or 0.42% at 2883.50
- The Nasdaq is up 21 points or 0.26% at 7924
- The Dow is up 93 points or 0.37%
US yields are near unchanged levels
- 2 year is up 0.4 bps
- 5 year unchanged
- 10 year unchanged
- 30 year is down -0.6 bps
Gold is unchanged as well now at $1196.26WTI crude oil is up $0.45 at $68.22 (up 0.71%).
