US Dollar Index rises to the highest since June 2017

DXY breaks the August high

The US Dollar Index edged above the August high and above 97.00 to the highest since June 2017.

Technically, it’s a break if you believe that the Dollar Index stands for anything, which I don’t.

On the other hand, you don’t need to look at many charts to recognize that the US dollar is in an uptrend but the levels I’m watching right now is last week’s low in the euro at 1.1336 and the August low in cable at 1.2662.
